Every Khao Lak vacationer can easily answer these questions:
When can you wade through the river?
When can you hike on the beach in the morning?
When is the best time to snorkel on the house reef?
(Tip: from 3 hours before the highest water level.)
When can you go for dinner along the beach?
When can you go home from the bar along the beach?
In Khao Lak there are two times a day ebb and flow, with a time interval of 6 hours. The tides are very distinctive, unlike in Ko Samui, for example. The tidal range is approximately two meters. This is evident in the width of the beach, which can vary between 5 and 50 m.
