Bang Niang Beach

The 2 km long sandy beach is 2.5 km north of Nang Thong Beach. You can reach the two best beach entrances by turning towards the beach at the traffic lights in Bang Niang and then either turning left at the next intersection and then driving straight ahead, or by driving straight ahead at the intersection until just before the beach and then in the last street turns right. This "Soi 1" is driven to the end and reaches a palm grove.

The sea is suitable for bathing and swimming at low and high tide. Even when the waves are light, the water does not appear completely clear, since fine sediments are whirled up.

Unfortunately, the beach in the central area is getting narrower and so two hotels block the way for hikers when the water is not low.

Unfortunately, the current situation in Jnui 2019 is that the entire beach has been rinsed off. A lot of concrete as a rescue measure and a lot more plastic sandbags make the northern Bang Niang beach near the hotels Chong Fah, Mukdara, Sudala, Ayara, Casa de la Flora) look more like a garbage dump than a holiday paradise. The southern part from the Ramada / La Vela is hardly affected. Here is still a good beach in front of the hotels. Let's hope that a lot of sand will be washed up again in November and everything will look like a dream vacation again.
