By bus to Khao Lak:
On the H4 road, which is developed as a highway to Chumphon, it is 787 km from Bangkok to Khao Lak. The night bus takes about 11 hours because several breaks (food partly included) are taken.
Travel from Southern Bus Station at 6:50 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. on a comfortable air-conditioned night bus from Phuket Central Tour. If you want to be sure, buy the ticket in the morning and then take a look at Bangkok.
We do not recommend the cheaper buses without air conditioning.
The ticket costs 580 baht and is issued to Takua Pa. As the bus continues towards Phuket, you stay seated until Khao Lak. Around 7 a.m., you either get off at 7-eleven at the turn-off to Bang Niang Beach (= KM 62.1) or at the Nang Thong Supermarket (= KM 59.6) at the turn-off to Nang Thong Beach.
Pickup taxis take you to the resort for 100-300 baht.

The last VIP bus at 6:30 p.m. is recommended as it arrives at dawn.
